Interesting fact: Did you know that Grand Forks is sometime referred to as the "sunflake city?" Is that because of the water tower that has half sun half snowflake? I've never heard of it before, and a friend of mine from Hawaii came across "sunflake city" as the official nickname of Grand Forks.
Hmmmm. Me thinks there was a marketing breakdown somewhere.

so very true... a local artist Steve A. called and told me it was in fact the logo for the Chamber, and did end up on that water tower.
why do we do these things?
Yeah, Grand Cities didn't fare well either...
